nanny salary

Vermont Nanny Connection

Many different factors influence the salary that your nanny will receive:

  • experience

  • age

  • education

  • area

  • job responsibilities

  • benefits

  • job type (live-in, live-out, temporary, part-time, full-time)

The pay scale in Vermont is generally between $16 to $25 per hour for nannies. In the current market, we have seen an increase in the range to a baseline of $17/hour in some locations. We are happy to share with you those details when we speak.

Nannies are required to be paid on an hourly basis and are eligible for overtime at a rate of time and a half for all time over 40 hours in a work week. Live-in nannies may be paid on a salaried basis.
