sitter connection

Vermont Nanny Connection

We all know how hard it is to find a good sitter. You’ve probably scoured your neighborhood and asked all of your friends for referrals. But you still haven’t found what you are looking for.

At Vermont Nanny Connection we can offer an answer to your sitter woes. Our Sitter Connection program is designed to help enable families to find reliable and qualified sitters for occasional weekend night or temporary childcare needs. Families who become members of our Sitter Connection are able to view a roster and either contact the sitter directly or contact VNC with a sitter request.

Please use In-House Hotel Form for one time sitter needs, if you’re not applying to the Sitter Connection Annual Membership.

VNC Sitter Connection can be accessed by families either by purchasing a yearly membership for $210-$275.00 (depending on utilization) or by paying a $25.00 a day charge. Certain resorts have an additional $5 placement fee.

Our roster consists of candidates who are at least 18 years of age, are high school graduates, have been CPR/First Aid trained and have at least two years childcare experience. In addition, they have undergone an intensive screening process, including agency interview, background check and reference checks.

Each of the candidates in the VNC Sitter Connection program has agreed to meet or exceed the following quality standards of care.

  • Return customer phone calls promptly – within 24 hours whenever feasible, even if unable to commit to requested assignment.

  • Arrive at assignments five to ten minutes early.

  • Maintain client confidentiality.

  • Never have personal guests at the parent’s house without permission.

  • Never transport the children without the parent’s permission.

  • Always leave the home in the same or better condition than what it was on arrival.

  • Never administer medications without the parent’s permission.

  • Use only redirection, discussion and time-outs as appropriate forms of discipline.

  • Make every effort to interact and play with children. Do not rely on TV or video games as a standard form of entertainment.
