A Fairfield (near St Albans, 40 minutes from Burlington) family is looking for someone to be with their 11 year old son during summer weeks when he is not involved in area camps. Weeks when he is scheduled for camps assistance may be necessary with transportation in the St. Albans/Burlington area. The individual would watch their child at the family’s home and may be asked to do some light housework. The position would start on June 30. Position pay is based on experience. 8:00 until 5:30 on some days and less on others (there is no plan to exceed 35 hours). The weeks that they need a nanny are: June 30, July 21, July 28, August 18, August 25 (Up until when school starts 8/28?). This family would also appreciate a nanny who is able to work after school hours as well in the fall. The hours would be from 2:45 to 5:30 to 6:00 each day.

This Manchester/Dorset family is seeking a live-in, full-time nanny to help care for their 22 month old girl and 6 month old boy for 50-60 hours a week. Scheduling is flexible - 5 days on/2 days off or 10 days on/4 days off or a combination of the two work equally well. The reality of life with two under 2 is a 12 hour day with breaks. Applicant will have own bedroom and bath with separate entrance to kitchen, family prefers applicant to have own car but can make arrangements if necessary. The family would like someone with some college / early childhood development experience. They would also like someone who feels comfortable caring for infants. A calm demeanor combined with a high energy level is essential. All applicants should be non-smoking, athletic, animal lovers (we have a young black lab is who an integral part of the family) and a good driver. Applicants should also be open to working closely with the mother as she is a stay at home mom. Duties include all aspects of childcare and help running the household -including laundry, cooking for kids, shopping, errands etc. This family is easy going, reasonable, friendly and fun. The position pays $30,000 - 36,000 a year based on experience plus health benefits after 6 months. They are also willing to add other benefits to the salary package such as a ski pass or gym membership.

This Burlington family is looking for someone to care for their 1 year old full-time, with at least a one year commitment. The mom is expecting a second child to be due in January. They are a bilingual family - French speaking and would love someone who is able to speak French with the child. They do not have pets. They are not interested in a nanny who would like a child. They would like a nanny who is calm natured, honest and reliable. There would be some child's laundry, dishes and child food prep required. Driving and or walking to activities are fine. This Shelburne family is looking for a long-term, full time, team player nanny. They have a 4 ˝ year old and are expecting twins at the end of May. The position will be part time until the twins are born: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 3:30PM to 5 or 6PM, Tuesday and Thursday 12 to 5 or 6 PM. When the babies are born it will be Monday-Friday 8AM-6PM. This family would love the nanny to stay late a few nights a week, but is not required. They do not have pets. During the summer months primary care will be in Grand Isle on the lake, so a strong swimmer is necessary. If a long-term nanny is not able to commit until the fall that is something this family is willing to consider. There will also be a secondary care giver (Mother or grandmother) for the better part of the summer, so the nanny is not working with two newborns and a school-aged child at the same time.
